SARS
Gold Reef Bookkeepers will provide you with the service of registering your business with SARS. That includes SDL, UIF, PAYE, VAT and Income Tax. It is a legal requirement for most businesses to register for these and we will do it on your behalf.
A business must register for PAYE if only one employee earns a salary of more than R46,000 per anum. UIF must be registered for any employee that earns a salary. Any business that has a nett income of R1 million or above must register for VAT.
SDL (Skills Development Levy) is a compulsory levy scheme for the purposes of funding education and training. The levy came in operation on the 1st of April 2000. But please read more about it here
